We are seeking experienced and passionate Glass Assistants, Bubble Starters and Gaffer level glassmaker’s eager to work in our brand new, state-of-the-art glass studio with a talented crew of fellow glassworkers.  Working with our Glass Shop Manager, the glass team creates glass for our production orders ensuring quality standards are consistently met. The Glass team members also assist the Design Department and Owner, Creative Director, and passionate glassmaker John Pomp on new products, processes, and one-off sculptural works.

Job Responsibilities

    • Work with the Glass Department Manager and a team of glassworkers to produce a wide array of different blown and hot cast glass works

    • Collaborate with owner, Creative Director and master Glassmaker John Pomp and design team to develop new products and processes to add to a growing collection of new and innovative works

    • Maintain utmost level of precision and quality through completion of each piece, while consistently adhering to the studio’s established processes, as well as, continuously improving production efficiencies

    • Assist glassblowing, coldworking, and kiln working departments

    • Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a precise and timely manner

    • Maintain organized and clean work area and assist glass team with general maintenance and upkeep of glass studios and equipment

Qualifications

    • Demonstrated glassblowing experience in a professional production environment required

    • Passionate glassblower with a high personal drive to meet and maintain company standards of craft

    • A mature team player who excels in a collaborative environment

    • Self-motivated, energetic, and production minded

    • Meticulous attention to fine-detailed work

    • Creative problem solver

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical shop environment

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Be able to lift 50lbs

Compensation:

    • $20 – $30+/hr, commensurate with experience
