There is a small country in the Himalayas whose government is recruiting experts from other nations to live in their country and teach their young generation skills that will enable them to support themselves, their families and improve their communities. Glass blowing is one of the skills they would very much like to develop as they see it as an exciting craft for creative, talented entrepreneurs. This is truly a blank canvas in which someone will start a glass studio from scratch!
At a very high level, this role will be to:
o Order all the necessary furnaces, equipment, tools, materials, etc for the different types of glass blowing and guide the construction of the facility and studios.
o Design beginning and intermediate level workshops in a variety of techniques and methods.
o Teach and recruit other instructors.
The perfect candidate is someone who loves teaching others the craft of glass blowing, is willing to live (all expenses paid) in one of the most beautiful and remote locations on earth for at least 3 months, and has the cultural sensitivity to respect the unique characteristics of the country.
