Firestarter: A Fundraising Event to Benefit the Glass Art Society

Tuesday, May 13, 7:30 to 10 pm
Join GAS for an exciting evening to kick off our 2025 conference and raise funds to fuel the fire! The world-renowned Einar and Jamex de la Torre will be bringing their unique approach to glass for their demonstration at SiNaCa Studios. Ticket includes entrance and one complimentary drink. Food and additional beverages will be available a la carte. At Firestarter, bid on classes from the top glass education institutions from around the world to raise money for GAS!
Members: $50/ticket
Non-Members: $75/ticket
There will be a shuttle going to SiNaCa from the Crowne Plaza Arlington available to anyone with a Firestarter ticket. Those on the Tuesday day trip will drop off at Firestarter.
Monday Night Collectors Tour
Monday, May 12, 3 to 7pm
Enjoy VIP experiences on Monday night! From cocktails at Kittrell/Riffkind Art Glass Gallery, to a tour of the DuBois private collection, and a visit to the Rachofsky Warehouse + Rachofsky House with Jamie Carpenter, you’ll explore some of the Dallas-Fort Worth area’s best glass art.

Day Trip: The Texas Experience
Grapevine, Dallas, Fort Worth
Tuesday, May 13, 9 am to 5 pm
Shuttle pickup at the Crowne Plaza Arlington at 10 am
Join GAS for a pre-conference trip exploring the Old West with a New Twist! On this Tuesday trip we will visit historic Grapevine Texas, enjoy a demo at Vetro Glass Studio, immerse ourselves in intergalactic art at Meow Wolf Grapevine, and end with the excitement of the world’s only twice daily cattle drive at the Fort Worth Stockyards. After the tour concludes, our bus will make a stop at SiNaCa Glass Studios in the Fort Worth Arts District. Folks can disembark at SiNaCa to grab dinner before the Firestarter event featuring the De La Torre Brothers, or mosey on back to the Crowne Plaza Arlington for some shut eye.

Half-Day Trip: Art in Dallas

Wednesday, May 14 from 9 am to 2 pm
See the very best of Dallas with an architecture tour, a visit to the Dallas Museum of Art, a walk through the Nasher’s Sculpture Garden, and a picturesque stop at Klyde Warren Park, where attendees can enjoy food trucks as well as Tom Phifer designed public art elements and design
Shuttle will pick up at Crowne Plaza Arlington at 9 am and drop off at UTA at 2 pm before returning to the hotel

Help us close out our 2025 GAS Conference in style! The party is included with four-day conference passes.
Purchase an add-on closing night party ticket only if you have additional party guests without conference passes, or if you are a day pass registrant who would like to attend this event. Bring your family and friends for a sparkling evening of glassy entertainment!
A shuttle will be available to and from the Crowne Plaza Arlington to the Arlington Museum of Art.

Ft Worth Gallery Hop Shuttle
From hot glass to high architecture, we will have a great lineup of programs on Thursday night in Fort Worth! If you won’t have a car and don’t want to pay for a $30 Uber between Arlington and Fort Worth, pick up this $10 ticket to get access to the special GAS shuttle that will run on a loop between our Conference Hotel and Fort Worth’s Near Southside Arts District, home of SiNaCa Studios!
