The 37th annual International Perfume Bottle Association convention will be held at the Benson Hotel in Portland, April 25-27, 2025.
Our exhibitor showroom is part of the weekend events that include a symposium, presentations, collector table talks, business luncheon, keynote speaker, collectors flea market and raffle.
The exhibitor showroom is a highlight of the convention where exhibitors set up and sell perfumes, compacts and related vanity items. In the past we’ve had a glass repair person in the showroom and we are looking for a glass repair person for our weekend event. The person who joined us in a different city each year has retired and the last time we were able to use a local person in Dallas in 2023. In the past, people have brought mostly vintage perfume bottles for repairs that include grinding/smoothing chips/flakes and removing perfume bottle daubers. Repair discussions and pricing are between the repair person and collector. There are always a lot of repairs as attendees know in advance that the service is available!
The showroom is in the Mayfair ballroom and we’re only open several hours each day of the weekend. We have a secure showroom with 24-hour security and everyone is required to have a badge. No one is allowed in the showroom when it’s not open and during set up, only exhibitors/helpers are allowed in the showroom. The guards will have a list of those allowed in the showroom. The glass repair person is able to do repairs at their convenience when the showroom is not open, as well as when we are open to attendees. Exhibitors only bring items to be repaired when the showroom is open.
We provide tables and electricity at no charge to the glass repair service. The exhibitors do pay a booth/showcase fee. The showroom is on the Mezzanine level and the hotel has valet/bellmen service that could provide load-in assistance.
Exhibitors set up in the showroom beginning around 11am on Thursday April 24 until midnight. The convention begins Friday morning and the grand opening of the showroom is Friday 2:15 to 6:45. The showroom is open Saturday from 2 to 5:45 and Sunday from 10:45am to 3pm when the convention is over.
In the past few years we’ve had 15-22 exhibitors, and we usually average 120-150 attendees from all over the US and Europe. At this time I honestly don’t know the number of exhibitors or the number of attendees. Of course we’ll have updated info once the registrations and showroom contracts start coming in. We also promote the events that are open to the public free of charge, and that includes some of the showroom hours, presentations and the fact that we will have a glass repair service.
