Job Duties:
Scheduling: Manage and schedule Eventbrite classes, private and group glassblowing lessons for GRT Hot Glass Studio.
Event Coordination: Plan and promote events such as first Fridays, open houses, and guest artist appearances.
Teaching: Instruct hot glass classes, oversee remaking, coldworking, and packing class objects for student pickup.
Studio Maintenance: Assist the Studio Manager in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the hot glass studio. This includes charging the furnace, recycling cullet, managing color inventory, and organizing tools.
Production: Assist the Studio Manager in producing custom glassware, awards, and art glass as needed.
Customer Communication : Support Studio Manager in customer-facing communications over social media platforms, on our website, phone and email, ensuring excellent service and addressing inquiries promptly.
Requirements:
– Minimum of 2 years of glassblowing experience, with some teaching experience preferred.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and Adobe software.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic studio environment.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
