Grab some popcorn and sink into a comfy seat to enjoy film projects where glass and glassmakers play a starring role! Join us on December 5 and 6 starting at 9 am Eastern both days as we screen the 2024 GAS Virtual Film Festival on our YouTube channel.

These films were juried into the festival by Ms. Ayana Morris, founder of Newark Moonlight Cinema, the first Black-owned drive-in theater in the US, and by Percy Echols II, owner of Taming Lightning and GAS Board Member. 14 countries are represented in our virtual offerings, with content that runs the gamut from documentary films to experimental art pieces.

You can watch the films with us as they premiere and chat with your fellow film aficionados, or watch them on demand until December 13. Everyone on our email list will receive the link to the Film Festival premiere in advance, so make sure to sign up for our emails if you haven’t already!

2025 GAS Film Festival

Glass artists and filmmakers from around the world are invited to submit films of any length for screenings which will take place both in-person and virtually. In-person screenings will occur in tandem with the annual GAS Conference, this year to be held from May 16-17, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. A virtual film festival will also launch in the winter-spring of 2025–2026, to kindle our hearts and minds during the long winter stretch between our annual gatherings.
