GAS Travels

Early Booking pricing is available exclusively for GAS members. You can sign up for membership at any time to take advantage of this discount valid until November 30, 2025. Register your travel in full or with a 50% deposit. Final balance is due no later than March 31, 2026. 

General Booking pricing is effective December 1, 2025. GAS member discounts are not available after this date. Pay your travel in full or with a 50% deposit. Final balance is due no later than March 31, 2026.

All rates are quoted in US Dollars and must be paid in US Dollars.

A minimum of 14 guests is required for this travel program to proceed. Please wait to hear from GAS to confirm this minimum before making your individual international flight arrangements.

All cancellations must be in writing to [email protected]. All cancellations are subject to a $250 cancellation fee and a $300 non-refundable contribution to GAS. 

Trip cancellations must be received no later than by April 1, 2026. No refunds will be made after this date except in the case of a documented medical emergency, in which case all funds less the cancellation fee, donation, and expenses already incurred, or contractually obligated to be paid, by GAS (non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers on your behalf) will be refunded. There is no refund for a partially completed tour or for unused services of any kind. We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance.

In the case that GAS cancels the trip for any reason other than a Force Majeure*, a full refund will be issued. If the trip is canceled due to a Force Majeure*, a full refund will be issued except for expenses already incurred or contractually obligated to be paid by GAS (non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers on your behalf). 

 *FORCE MAJEURE: GAS is not liable for acts of God, fire, weather, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangerous incidents to sea, land and air travel, and other similar incidents beyond its control.

INCLUDED:

• 3-night stay in Helsinki, 1 overnight cabin on boat cruise, 3-night stay in Stockholm, 4-night stay in Kosta/Växjö, and 1-night stay in Copenhagen
• Overnight boat cruise from Helsinki to Stockholm
• Train transportation from Stockholm to Kosta/Växjö
• Private bus coach transportation between hotels, visits, and meals indicated in the itinerary
• Meals as indicated in the itinerary 
• One glass of wine/beer/soft drink with every meal as indicated on the itinerary
• Admission to all museums and activities indicated in the itinerary
• Guides throughout the trip related to the included activities, tours, visits
• Option to add-on additional 2 nights in Ebeltoft – pricing will be available once we reach our tour group minimum of 14 people.

NOT INCLUDED:

• International arrival and departure flights
• Arrival and departure transportation between the airport and the hotel
• Additional transportation not related to the itinerary
• Meals, snacks, and beverages outside of the included meals indicated in the itinerary
• Any costs related to passports, visas, vaccinations, immunizations, tests, or departure taxes
• Travel insurance (highly recommended)
• Hotel incidentals (room service, WiFi, laundry, telephone, etc.)
• Optional activities as indicated on the itinerary
• Personal purchases

**Moderate

Requires a reasonable level of fitness, with moderate distances, some elevation changes, and activities that may demand sustained endurance for a few hours per day. On these programs, you can expect to walk 1-2 miles at a time while visiting different sites and participating in walking tours. Some excursions may involve climbing multiple flights of stairs without handrails, as well as walking on uneven pavement, unpaved roads, paths, or cobblestones. There may be instances where you’ll need to stand for up to an hour at sites where seating is not available.

A 13-day cultural and glass studio tour through Finland, Sweden, and Denmark, highlighting major glassmaking centers, museums, design institutions, and artists’ studios.  Optional 2-day extension in Denmark. 

Helsinki (July 7–10)

• Independent arrival and hotel check-in.
• Visits to the Architecture & Design Museum, Hakaniemi Market Hall, Sibelius Monument, and Oodi Library.
• Excursions to The Finnish Glass Museum and Iittala Glass Factory.
• Free time in the Design District before an overnight cruise to Stockholm.

Stockholm (July 11–13)

• Accommodation at Hotel Diplomat.
• Visits to Galleri Glas, National Museum, and artist studios including Ann Wåhlström, Rasmus Nosbring, Malin Pierre, Yoko Yamano, Liu Chien Kuang, Simon Klenell, and Frederik Nielsen.
• Day trip to Västerås for a studio visit with Tommy Gustafsschiöld.

Kosta & Växjö (July 14–17)

• Travel to the Kingdom of Crystal region.
• Visits to Kosta Boda Factory, Kosta Art Gallery, Orrefors, Kulturparken Småland, and The Glass Factory in Boda to name a few!
• Guided tour of the Swedish Glass Museum and the Växjö Cathedral.
• Dinners at Brasserie 1742 and PM Restaurant; traditional “Hyttsill” event with artists.

Copenhagen (July 18–19)

• Train from Växjö to Copenhagen.
• Visit to Designmuseum Denmark and Holmegaard Værk for the signature GAStronomy Dinner.

• Two-day extension with local glass and design visits (details TBD)
