The Annual GAS Conference brings together 800+ glass makers, curators, educators, suppliers, and more from around the world to celebrate glass art in all its facets. At the conference, attendees have the opportunity to learn new techniques, network with other glass enthusiasts, and explore some of the glassiest locations in the world.

GAS selects host sites from a rolling call for submissions. When selecting a host for a conference, GAS looks at:

  • a site’s capacity to host 800+ people
  • what glassmaking facilities are available
  • what other activities are available to attendees
  • how the site addresses GAS’s values

Conference programming includes:

  • Demonstrations, lectures, lecmos, panels, and performances
  • GAS Market, which brings vendors directly to our conference attendees
  • Goblet Grab, the time-honored conference tradition which raises funds for GAS to continue our mission
  • Sparkle To Go!, our Jewelry Trunk Show
  • Firestarter, a pre-conference fundraising event for GAS
  • GAS Film Festival, our annual celebration of the intersection of glass and film
  • and more!
