See below for complete details.GAS News: The Glass Art Society NewsletterTo reserve an ad in the newsletter, please print and fax (206-382-2630) or mail in a signed 2009 GAS News Reservation Form.GAS News is sent six times a year to all members of the Glass Art Society (approx. 3,000) and to any potential member requesting information (around 50 a month; more in the months immediately preceding a conference). Discounts: Advertisers receive a 20% discount on their third ad and 30% off their sixth ad in the newsletter within the 2009 calendar year. Corporate level GAS members receive 10% off one ad per membership year. Reservations: Ad reservations are made based on availability, as space is limited. Advertisers who have reserved and paid for an ad in advance have priority. Newsletter Classified Ads: Classified ads in GAS News are free to GAS members. For non-members, there is a $25 fee for a maximum of 40 words. Classified ad submission deadlines are the same as ad/payment deadlines above. The GAS Directory & Resource Guide is a publication that combines the Resource Guide and the Membership Roster. This 'yellow pages'-type directory will include all GAS Member contact information, and the ads for the manufacturers, suppliers, galleries, publications, schools, etc. that are important to you.If you represent a school or gallery, manufacture products related to glass art, or publish for the glass artist, collector, critic or curator, placing a half-page or full-page ad in this publication is a great opportunity to gain visibility for your program or product in a reference guide that will be used year-round by all GAS members. It is sent to all current members and back issues are ordered throughout the year from individuals, libraries and schools. Journal Ad Formats: All camera ready copy should be the exact size of the ad. Black and white ads: Camera ready art, negatives, photostats and disks accepted (see disk specifications below.) 150 line screen. Color ads: We accept final film, right reading, emulsion side down, one piece per color, each identified. Final film for 4-color ads must be accompanied by a color key, proof, or cromalin. 150-line screen for 4-color film. But please call first to check availability before ordering your art. Digital Ad Specs: The Journal is printed on uncoated paper - adjust output levels accordingly. Supply a laser print of composed ad for reference (to match type output).
*If Mac files are provided, the same elements must be included but we cannot be held responsible for errors. **Adobe Acrobat PDFs are the preferred file type for ads with images if imbedded images are 400 ppi at correct print size, CMYK with color match provided ***A Freehand or Illustrator .eps file will work for type only ads, with all fonts provided. ****We cannot be held responsible for ads submitted as Quark files.
