Conference Registration Fees & Price Deadlines

Register by March 1, 2012 for the lowest fees. Online Pre-Registration ends Tuesday, May 15. PRE-REGISTRATION HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH SUNDAY MAY 20TH. On-site Registration begins Wednesday, June 13 at noon, at the Park Inn. GAS membership must be current through June 2012 to attend.

 

Full Conference Pass

Thursday, Friday and Saturday: June 14-16, 2012. Includes all lectures; panels; demonstrations; opening ceremony; closing party; gallery hop; and other events taking place during the conference, EXCEPT special events and tours with additional fees.

WORK EXCHANGE PROGRAM participants pay a reduced rate for a full-conference pass in exchange for working between 11 and 13 hours during the conference. Click here for more details on Work Exchange and to sign up.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBER Work Exchange Full Conference Pass Fee: $150 plus 11-13 hours of work
FULL-TIME STUDENT* MEMBER Work Exchange Full Conference Pass Fee: $50 plus 11-13 hours of work

 

Daily Conference Pass - for those wishing to attend only 1 or 2 days

Choose to only attend Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Each day pass includes lectures, panels, demos, and other events taking place ONLY on the day or days for which you register EXCEPT special Events and Tours with additional fees.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBER Daily Conference Pass: $140 per day
FULL-TIME STUDENT MEMBER Daily Conference Pass: $85 per day

The Glass Art Society has created a special events package for collectors who want to explore the impressive museum and glass collections in the Glass City. Receive a full-conference pass, attend the Pre-Conference Reception in TMA's Glass Pavilion, and watch an exclusive studio demonstration.

Cost $175.
This fundraiser supported low GAS conference fees for students.
Open to GAS members and guests. Guests must be registered in advance.


Tom McGlauchlin Memorial Golf Outing–A Fundraiser
Wednesday, June 13. Register by May 15.
Cost: $90/$100
Includes golf, cart, range balls, and lunch (no rental clubs).
Open to GAS members and their guests.
The honors go to Tom McGlauchlin; the proceeds go to an emerging-artist travel grant for the 2013 GAS conference.

Tours on Wednesday, June 13
These tours begin and end at the SeaGate Convention Centre (Jefferson St. entrance).
Please review the dress requirements for the factory tours.

  • Libbey Glass Factory Tour: $25. GAS conference attendees only.
  • Tour of Pilkington Float Glass Operations: $25 (GAS member), $35 (guest)
  • Mark Matthews Studio, Sauder Village Tour & Luncheon: $67 (GAS member), $77 (guest)
  • Johns Manville in Waterville: $25 (GAS member), $35 (guest)
  • Architectural Tour: $25 (GAS member), $35 (guest)
  • Public Art Tour: $25 (GAS member), $35 (guest). 

Reduce your Conference Fee with Work Exchange

By participating in the Work Exchange program you will lower your conference registration fee and have some behind-the-scenes fun − all while helping out GAS. More than 100 people are needed during the conference. Participating in this way can enrich your conference experience and save you money! If accepted, you will pay the reduced work exchange conference registration fee and work between 11-13 hours during the conference.
