INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EXHIBITION

International Student Exhibition
David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Concourse A
Friday, June 8, 4 - 7 pm, Saturday, June 9, 9- 2:30 pm

The International Student Exhibition invites all Glass Art Society
student members who are currently enrolled full-time in an accredited
degree-seeking program to participate. All work must be current, original,
professionally crafted, and contain glass as the main element.

How to participate: Deliver your student work to the Convention Center, Concourse A, on Wed., June 6, 1- 5 pm; Thurs., or June 7, 10 am - 4 pm.

The official opening will be on Fri., June 8, at 4 pm. Students are encouraged to hand-carry their work to the conference. Insurance and shipment of the artwork are the responsibility of the artist. Neither GAS nor the Convention Center are responsible for theft or damage to artwork. Please ensure that your work is delivered in reusable packaging. All sold or unsold work MUST be picked up by 6:00 pm Saturday, June 9th.

Restrictions: No more than ONE item may be submitted by each student. The piece must not exceed 30 lbs. (15 kg) or 20” (50 cm) in any dimension. Installations or groupings may be submitted, but each element within the grouping must adhere to weight and size restrictions. Clear installation instructions must accompany each work. No work will be hung from walls or ceiling.

Awards: Previously, more than $12,000 in cash and supplies has been
awarded. The first prize winner will receive a $1,000 cash award from
The Corning Museum of Glass. All award winners will be acknowledged in
the Glass Art Society 2007 Journal and at the GAS Business Meeting.
Sales: We encourage sales at this event by cash or check made directly
to GAS. Artists will receive 80%.

***  Buyers must make their own arrangements for shipping work. Purchases and all unsold artwork must be picked up SATURDAY, June 9, 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm. Pieces left after Saturday, June 9, 6:00 pm will become the property of the Glass Art Society.
